Annual Muriwai Arts trail 2023

Every year, artists from around Muriwai open their studios for the Muriwai Art Trail. This year, we weren't sure if we would be able to participate in it because we have only just reopened our doors since Cyclone Gabrielle. However, we are incredibly grateful to be able to support the Arts Trail by being a pop-up studio for Judy Stokes once again! It's a great way for the community to get together and show their resilience and determination, we look forward to seeing what all the Artists have created in the last year and it will be interesting to see how the impact of Cyclone Gabrielle has shaped their art.

Join us to celebrate the arts with 25 of our local artists who work across so many different genres - painting, photography, jewellery, ceramics, illustration, sculpture and textile creation. Our rugged coastal environment inspires these artists and many of them have won awards. They aim to inspire and nurture creativity through workshops, exhibitions, open studios, and unique experiences. They are proudly part of the North West Arts Charitable Trust.

The Open Studio Arts Trail is a unique opportunity to meet the artists in person and view their art within the setting that has inspired it. Whether you want to learn from them or simply step out of the ordinary, this is the perfect chance.
